POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Performs the carpentry dutiesnecessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such asbins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, andtrim made of wood. Work involves use ofstandard hand and power carpentry tools to measure, cut, assemble, and finishwork including painting or texturing. Responsible for use of established safety equipment, materials andprocedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have demonstratedsatisfactory skills and good performance as a Carpenter. Must have three years progressive experienceas a Carpenter or have graduated from a two-year resident course at avocational institute or a recognized apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicant selected may be subject to asecurity investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access toclassified information.

Workwill include associated cross-utilization other jobs as required. May requiresome overtime and/or weekend work.
